The program provides selected employees with financial and institutional support to further their studies. Beyond academic advancement, the policy is structured to create new beginnings, giving individuals the opportunity to realign their career paths and expand their contribution to the organization and society. Among the inaugural beneficiaries is Mark Dabie, who is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Information Studies, Human Resource, and Psychology. He shared his appreciation for the opportunity: “This has given me the space to think beyond day-to-day work and focus on building a career path,” he said. Another recipient, Priscilla Kekeli Adamah, completed her WASSCE in Business but has now chosen to rewrite the exams under the General Arts track. She hopes to pursue Communication Studies at the tertiary level. “I realised my interests were better for a different path. With the company’s support, I feel more confident taking that step,” she said. In a continent where programs like this provide a quiet but impactful form of leadership investing not in rhetoric, but in people. By enabling its staff to grow academically and professionally, Datamaker Ghana is helping to cultivate a new kind of resource: informed, motivated individuals who can bring insight and innovation to their roles. The scholarship initiative also echoes the sentiment of Ghana’s own Ayi Kwei Armah, who once wrote that “when you look into the future, it’s as blank as anything. But if you look back, it’s full of patterns.” With this new policy, the company is helping its staff make sense of that pattern, connecting past aspirations with present opportunity, and shaping futures with purpose. While the program is internally focused, it sits within a broader effort by the company to contribute to youth development in Ghana. Through initiatives such as the Datamaker–KOICA IBS ICT Training Scholarships, the company encourages young people to pursue careers in technology, AI, and data science fields critical to Ghana’s evolving role in the global digital economy Datamaker Ghana Limited is a Ghana Free Zones Enterprise with its headquarters in South Korea. The company is committed to building a robust AI ecosystem in Ghana and works closely with local institutions to promote AI literacy and prepare the next generation for the demands of the future workforce.
