Energy company PETROSOL has confirmed that one of its vehicles involved in Sunday’s tragic incident in Accra was taken without authorization by a security guard employed by a third-party firm contracted to the company. In an earlier statement, PETROSOL acknowledged a video circulating on social media showing the vehicle at the center of the incident, which left several people injured. The company expressed concern for the victims and assured the public that an internal probe had begun in collaboration with the Ghana Police Service.Ghana travel guide By evening, however, PETROSOL issued an updated statement confirming that the incident had resulted in a devastating loss. While withholding details out of respect for the affected families, the company extended its sympathies. “Our hearts go out to all the families impacted by this tragedy, and we extend our deepest condolences specifically to the family grieving an unimaginable loss,” the statement read. The company clarified that the individual who took the vehicle was not a PETROSOL employee but a security guard assigned by an external security agency. PETROSOL stressed that his actions were unauthorized and amounted to a serious violation. “These actions were carried out without the knowledge or consent of PETROSOL and constitute a serious breach of the trust we place in our service providers,” management stated.
