More than four months after he was killed by US-Israeli strikes at the onset of the war, Iran’s late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was buried yesterday, following a dayslong public funeral attended by waves of mourners Earlier today, the country’s new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei thanked the “tens of millions” of people he said attended the funeral ceremonies in a purported message released by Iranian media. He has yet to appear publicly since the killing of his father and predecessor.
