A 19-year-old man has been jailed after he attacked and seriously injured a man in a supermarket car park. Oakley Daniell, from Wilkinson Gardens, Redruth, Cornwall, was given a 14-month sentence after he pleaded guilty to causing grievous bodily harm to a man at about 20:20 BST on 27 July 2024 at Sainsbury's in Falmouth. Police said after a verbal exchange between the two men, who were known to each other, Daniell punched the victim in the face before kicking, kneeing and hitting him as he lay on the ground. The victim was left with lasting damage to his eye despite having undergone several operations, said officers.
